Solar and Wind Power Potential Assessment
Anticipate the solar and wind power actually available over the next 15 days, through probabilistic scenarios — to effectively manage your equipment, storage, and energy commitments.
Description
Solar and wind energy production depends entirely on the weather — and a single forecast says nothing about the margin of error your decisions rest on. Using ensemble forecasts, we convert radiation and wind into production potential for your installation, and we deliver the full range of plausible scenarios with their probabilities, over a 0-to-15-day horizon. This conversion is based first on your installation's own history where it exists: we statistically calibrate the relationship between past weather conditions and your actually observed production, which captures the particular characteristics of your site (shading, wake effects, downtime). For a new or planned installation, we instead start from your equipment's technical specifications — turbine power curve, panel orientation and efficiency. In both cases, the conversion is applied to every scenario in the ensemble: the probabilities we deliver are about your production, not just the weather.
What you get
Production potential forecasts tailored to your installation's characteristics: high, median, and low scenarios with confidence intervals, hourly resolution in the short term and daily resolution in the medium term, updated at the frequency you choose. For wind, our wind forecasts are provided at 100 m altitude — at hub height, where your turbines actually produce power, rather than at ground level as in standard bulletins.
