Public climate normals describe the climate of a region or an airport — rarely that of your specific site. Yet decisions are made at a precise location: building, farming, investing, sizing infrastructure. This service produces a complete climatological profile of the exact point that matters to you, drawn from the best data available for that location.
A full range of climatological statistics tailored to your needs, for each variable selected: monthly and annual normals (temperature, precipitation, wind, humidity, radiation, snow…) · Extremes and records · Frequency of exceeding your critical thresholds · Return periods for rare events · Degree-days (heating, cooling, growing) · Average first and last frost dates · Wind rose · Any specialized statistic relevant to your activity.
Our priority is real observations. We identify weather stations within an acceptable radius of your location — a radius that varies depending on the variable (precipitation is more localized than temperature) and the terrain. When no quality observation is available within an acceptable distance, we use a numerical climate reconstruction: a global archive, recognized and used by climatologists worldwide, that combines decades of observations from all sources (stations, satellites, weather balloons) with atmospheric physics to estimate past conditions at any point on the globe. In all cases, the report clearly indicates, for each variable, the source used and its limitations.
