There’s a gap between receiving a forecast and knowing what to do with it — and that’s where poor decisions get made: relying on a single value, ignoring uncertainty, reacting too late, or mobilizing for nothing. This hands-on training is designed for teams that make weather-dependent decisions without ever having been trained to do so: it gives them the instincts of professionals, applied directly to your operations.

What you get

A session led by our meteorologists and built around your real use cases, gathered before the training. By the end, your teams will know how to judge the confidence to place in a forecast, translate a probability into a concrete decision, recognize situations that call for caution, and integrate weather into their decision-making process.

Topics covered

How weather forecasts are made — and why they can’t be perfect · Reading a bulletin and spotting what it doesn’t say · Understanding probabilistic forecasts and ensembles · Turning a probability into action: what do you do with a 30% risk? · Setting your own action thresholds · Choosing the right weather products for your industry.

Format

Half-day (3 hrs) or full day (6 hrs) · In person or online · Practical exercises built with real data from your industry — and, where possible, your own past situations · Training materials provided to participants · Certificate of participation.
